Dalleon Systems was formed in 1996 to provide specialist services in the areas of performance management and solving performance related problems.
Since that time the company has expanded it’s range of products to include on-site reviews of individual systems and off-site monitoring of customers’ installations.
Based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire the company is well placed for London and the South-East, as well as having good transport links, which facilitate working in the midlands and the west of England.
From small servers to terabyte+
The company’s main area of focus is business servers – primarily those running Unix, Linux or Microsoft software. We also specialise in resolving Oracle performance problems as well as providing general health-check and performance monitoring services. Our experience covers all sizes of server, from small dedicated servers through to multi-thousand user, terabyte+ systems distributed across many platforms and different sites.
Our customer-based experience means we have the ability to take situations, such as business growth, change or consolidation and translate them into technical requirements in terms of capacity, performance and usage.
We work closely with our clients, spending a lot of time on their premises, both collecting data and ensuring they get the information they need. We also use our own in-house developed procedures on our own systems to provide the specialised analyses our clients require.
Our range of services fall into two categories: providing the capability to collect technical, performance related data from servers and also using that data combined with business information to improve the operation of client organisations.
The first group of products spans such needs as: a fast diagnosis of a problem that is happening now, managing complex issues that cross many disciplines and do not necessarily have a single root-cause or fix, to building a complete monitoring system for clients that meet their own unique needs in a cost efficient way – by using the components that come with the software they already have.
The second group of services from Dalleon Systems are processes and techniques to increase the value of a set of servers. Such as specifying the capacity and flexibility of new designs to give the expected quality of service, being able to accurately forecast growth and the impact it will have and effectively deal with the performance implications of change.
These make use of the broad range of experience we can bring to bear on an individual situation and will integrate into clients standards-based processes such as BS5750, ISO-9000 and ITIL.
