Peter Lynch is a graduate from Bath University with an honours degree in Physics.
Using this very good start, Peter has been employed by many blue-chip companies such as Racal, Motorola and IBM where his skills in Unix, Oracle and general technical savvy made him a highly sought after resource for some of these companies’ high-profile projects, both within the U.K. and internationally.
From a start in the real-time world of programming microprocessors for embedded systems, Peter moved to work on some of the U.K.s early Unix products. This position required him to develop device drivers, where his previous real-time experience proved invaluable. This work also provided the opportunity to work on the Unix kernel, writing central modules for two operating system ports. This experience was to become a key basis for further work.

Sadly, the IT world went into recession soon after these
innovations were marketed and Peter moved on to work for a software house, again using his real-time and systems skills for commercial software development

After this work, which also saw him developing consultancy and management experience, Peter moved back into the world of Unix with Motorola. Here his responsibilities were quickly expanded to include support and development of database products, focusing mainly on large commercial customers.
This mix of skills was ideal for IBM, who further developed Peter’s consultancy and commercial background with a series of high-profile customer based projects.
Peter formed Dalleon Systems in 1996 to specialise in addressing the growing need for performance management of businesses IT systems. Since that time the company has successfully engaged on projects – both large and small to resolve performance problems, predict future requirements and assess the impact that new projects and changes will have on existing IT systems.
He lives in Marlow and in his spare time enjoys astronomy and woodworking.
